People want Broadband TV... I foresee the cable companies promoting such a product.
Once the analog channels get cut out in 2009, there should be allot more room for our current QAM based system to increase upload and download capacity. |

Price, service, and content is what it will break down to. People don't care if it's via Satellite, Cable, or IP, as long as it's price and content are competitive people will buy. |

They answered the way they did because they think they will get the content for free that way instead of paying a satellite or cable company for TV service. Little do they know that the cable companies and telcos will jack up internet connection rates drastically if TV shows only come thru broadband connections.

The mandate for the analog channels to be cut in 2009 only applies to over-the-air channels.
