I have heard that some herbicide was manifesting in pollen and seemed to cause some memory loss in bees. I'm a beekeeper, so it's certainly something I'm curious about. When bees leave their hive for the first time, they circle above in widening circles until they've got the area and it's landmarks mapped out. From there, they can travel about one and a half to two miles and still find their way home. Anything which affects their memory could cause the type of issues seen in CCD.
