<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : I believe this was a problem occurring between Comcast's AT&T center in Dallas and the data center "The Planet", also located in Dallas. This information is pieced together through conversations with Comcast and The Planet, neither of which were too forthcoming.<br>At least, from here in Washington state, the only sites I was having problems with were all located on servers housed at The Planet. A Comcast tech said the problem was in Dallas. When I mentioned The Planet, he said yes - it appeared to be between the two centers.<br>However, Pair and PHP.net are not housed there, and my times sync with everyone else's as far as when this began and when service was restored, so it is still a puzzle.]]></description>

I'm in Arlington, VA and haven't been able to connect to many sites including my client servers at Bluehost.com since 4pm this afternoon.  Seeing that they've messed up connectivity to MYSPACE and FLICKR, I'm sure this is Comcast's top priority.  I called a tech out on this earlier and got him to somewhat confess that they knew about the problem after first acting really puzzled and trying to walk me through his super long BS trouble-shooting list.  Don't waste my time Comcast!!! Admit when you've f'd up.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : Does look like Global Crossing is having a problem with severe latency to Verizon Boston.  <br><br>If you go to &raquo;<A HREF="http://www.internetpulse.net" >www.internetpulse.net</A> and do a focus from Global Crossing to Verizon Boston you can see the packet loss report (212ms+).   Of course Global Crossing is reporting an "average" packet loss of only 44.42ms<br><br>While 212ms is huge I'm not certain that this is enough to cause the problems we're seeing.  Anyone on a direct Verizon circuit in the NE care to chime in?  If they're not seeing this issue maybe it can be put back into Comcasts lap.]]></description>

I have a number of About to call comcast.<br><br>Pinging the hosts are fine, and ssh/telnet work great to the other ports.  If I telnet to port 80 and try to manually issue an HTTP request, it hangs.  Something on Comcast's network is doing something.<br><br>THanks for posting this.  <br><br>BTW, I think it's localized to the northeast. I can FTP in.. get authenticated.. and fail the directory listing.<br><br>I think you should call.. the more of us that call, the more it is raised to their attention.  It is clear there is an issue, but it varies between us as to which sites we can reach and which we cannot.  <br><br>So yeah, everyone that reads this, that is having a similar issue, needs to call and log a ticket.  The wider the variety of tickets received the more obvious there is an issue that needs fixing.]]></description>
