As has been hashed over and over again in various DSLR forums, there are no OFFICIAL proofs that cell phones have any affect on humans. There are many SECONDARY stories and suppositions that cell phone radiation over a LONG period of time can cause an issue, but like the early days of radio, no one knows for sure, yet.
There are billions of people using cell phones. If there were any ill effects as a result of them, we would be seeing thousands, if not millions, of cases of such ill effects.

How many years were how many people smoking tobacco products before the proof that tobacco caused health problems was officially recognized? How many (few) years have cells been in use in relationship to that time? Why do those of us working in an RF environment have exposure limits?

No, I do NOT know for a fact that putting a watt or two of near field microwave energy up against neurological tissue for a relatively long term will or will not cause problems. Just my training over the last 35+ years makes me leery of it. And as I said before, there are secondary stories like that of my co-worker's neurosurgeon who said he has seen a rise in certain tumours that MIGHT be related to cell phone use.

But this is getting off the topic of Wi-Fi, which is a totally different exposure level.

Severity of radiation related heath issues is dependent on exposure. Some people are exposed to more cell phone radiation than others.

Think of it as another electromagnetic related condition such as sunburn. Absorb too much UV rays at one time and you will get hurt. Go out for a few minuets and you will be fine.
Just because everybody goes out in the sun and does not get sunburned, does not mean that the sun does not cause sunburns.

I guess the frequency of cell phones compared to UV make damage from cell phones allot less likely. but expose yourself to enough radiation and you will start seeing problems. Who knows, maybe there are people out there who really do expose themselves to massive amount of cellphone radiation.

I think people should do a survey of cell phone use for people who have suffered from specific issues with cancer in the ear/brain. Maybe some sorta correlation could be found, and maybe we can begin to determine how much is too much cell phone use.
