1 edit | I thought maybe I was seeing it too but now I'm not sure. I hit the OOL test and started off at about 1.2MB/s and ended up at 1.9MB/s, but it didn't fall off after a few seconds, it just kept chugging along at 1.9MB/s. I'm on the premier tier which, in this area, is 12/1Mbps, I was seeing far more than 12Mbps. They may have raised us to 15Mbps.

well i had to use a diffrent spped test to get it to show but this is what i got in phoenix
tried downloading a large file to see the transfer rates but its still down loading at around 200-500kb/s maybe they are still tweaking it |

| It does not always "kick in" on speed tests. Sometimes I get, but most of the time it is not there.
Try a DL of a file and see what you get. It should rip for a few seconds and then back down to "normal".

nope i see no burst at all.all the downloads will start between 70-250k and then creep up to about 500k |

| make sure u download from someplace that can actually push that much bandwidth something from your local akamai cluster should work well im kind of meh on powerboost i got 1.5 MBps = 12 Mbps for a minute or something but it went down to 1 MBps = 8 Mbps after that its not showing up on speed tests for me so i still get 8 - 9 Mbps on speed tests the 200 MB test file I tried used to take 3 an a 1/3 minutes = 200 seconds now it takes just 3 minutes = 180 seconds, well big woop although im very happy with the 8/512 that I always get for the 7/512 preferred tier that I pay for here in az i used to pay just as much for what was much less reliable and much slower dsl |

Is powerboost only in effect for premiere?
I'm on the preferred tier here in tucson, and I don't see the boost at all. Neither speed tests nor actual file downloads are showing any improvement, not even for a few seconds.
I even used the tucson server in the speedtest.net test and it didnt improve lol. |

Azwldcats yes I had already rebooted my modem earlier, and I just did so again, with the following(non booosted) result:
I dunno, I also seem to be one of the unfortunate people who get cruddy service over all, so this really doesn't surprise me much.
Although I am happy to see over 5mbit download, that is always nice. |

Looks like people on loaded nodes aren't getting it.
rebooted my modem and still not getting it. in fact, not even getting the 12mbps i pay for.
