Sprint does not do site surveys. You may have read about WISP's doing site surveys, and that is a normal thing. There is a lot of difference between Sprint and a WISP. EVDO is designed for mobile devices and a WISP uses gear that is designed to be fixed in one location and not moved. Since finding a WISP can be hard sometimes, a lot of people such as yourself have been trying to use EVDO for high speed internet as they have no other options. Overall, if you can get a decent signal, your Sprint EVDO may be a lot better than dialup and a great option. Just go to Sprint and return it within 30 days if you have no signal. Good luck.

There are several EVDO routers on the market that can connect all of your home computers either wirelessly or via ethernet. www.3gstores.com will show you the available routers. The advantage of this is you can be mobile or fixed. Take it on the road with a laptop or plug it into your home network. |
