Don't know where to put this: Froogle gone!

So I don't know where to post the, but nowadays when you bring up google search engine page there is no optional link to Froogle.Google any longer. It seems like it is gone, there is no link anywhere to it.

Sure, you can search for "froogle" and this page comes up:

so the service still exists, but it looks like they have at least dropped the name "froogle". Why? It was a great name, very catchy. I wonder if there are legal reasons?

Just a wild guess: They got a cease & desist letter from Google's attorneys due to name similarity.

1 edit

First, I'm not a "dude", second I've never used froogle so don't care about it and third, I said "a wild guess". Chill.
Edited to add: Wild guesses often turn out to be wrong.
