This sucks major cow behind. I cant beleive I just uninstalled UD.

Wow. I'm stunned, to say the least...
And saddened that UD is over. However, I will switch my UD machines over to TSC until such a time as another Cancer project is picked. I hope every one will stick around until a new project is decided on, I'd hate to see someone leave because they were simply stats junky's.

Oddly enough, I'm not that upset by this news. I'm a little disappointed for my brother lonslo though as he was edging closer to the 1,000,000 point milestone.
The reason we are here is NOT complete!
I hope that the team can focus on our remaining project, TSC.
If we do decide to take on another project, I hope it's one with an efficient client similar to UD and worthy of our efforts.

Its a sad to see the project closing, just keep in mind that we're not done with our work yet. For those of you switching to TSC you all know you are doing a good thing. Im still somewhat stumped myself as to where to put my boxes to work but I will probably go for either TSC or Folding.
I do however hope that the TD forum will be kept up and running and that new good causes will be posted about here. I've never been a frequent poster (more of a lurker) but I do enjoy the friendly chatter of what I have come to consider as my "Internet Family".
To all of you on the team, you all made this community happen. You made it the friendly place its always been, whether I've been browsing a thread or sending some mojo to someone in need I've always felt that we had something special here. Thank you all for the good times. |

Wow, I am stunned that Grid is shutting down the project. My desktop and laptop received new work units about the same time this evening and I'm going to let them finish. When I get home from work tomorrow, I guess I'll remove UD and move over to TSC.
I will miss crunching for UD ...it's what brought me to Team Disco....but am glad we have TSC to work on. |

I like how in the Grid.org post, under the list of recommend projects to consider, SETI was last on the list.
