| [ Express] Speed Increases? I mentioned in a previous post I was thinking about upgrading to Express. Well, I did, and I've been noticing the speed seems to be higher than advertised; not that I'm complaining, mind you.
So I gave tech support a call, he checked my billing and modem profiles: they're both set to Express, but apparently the modem's been provisioned for 7Mbps and the upload has increased, too (I've been getting ~460kbps).
He said he'd been getting calls all morning about it. Anyone else notice this? Is this becoming official?

Me too. On Express. The test I took just before power cycling was 4800/384. Why don't they inform us of this stuff?

| Well I'm glad I could give you guys a heads up. A lot of people may be pissed at Rogers lately over the throttling issues, but a speed increase is always nice.
It'll suck if they're only testing things out, though, and it reverts in a few days. Heh. | |

Nothing seems to be wrong on my usenet providers end, so hopefully things pick up.
Edit: whatever it was, it must have been a temp glitch - I tried an http transfer from M$ and was getting 927 KB/s, then turned newsleecher back on to find the relativley steady speed you see in the picture. | |
