Re: [ Express] Speed Increases?

I wonder if they've done anything for Rogers Business. I've got 8/1 at work, i'll reboot the modem tomorrow at work and see.

Guess I'll have to call on Monday to see when NB gets the speed increase or will I be paying for Extreme and getting less than express.

Yeah... they should at least freaking notify customers of power cycling. Assholes lol

On a brighter note, I just did it and am happy

Well I'm glad I could give you guys a heads up. A lot of people may be pissed at Rogers lately over the throttling issues, but a speed increase is always nice.

It'll suck if they're only testing things out, though, and it reverts in a few days. Heh.

Nah, if anything they test it out on the inside first before releasing the updated profiles to the public. This should be staying .

Too bad torrents will NEVER be at this speed for us

I'm near london, on express, but still have the old speeds. How do you reset a modem?

Unplug your modem's power source for a couple minutes, maybe five, then plug it back in.

Voila.

Hmm, i'm only maxing out at 869KB/s on Usenet with this new connection (extreme)

Edit: is anyone having any HORRIBLE DNS problems after switching?

I power cycled my modem to get the new speed, but now only a few sites are working. Most don't work at all.

No troubles with usenet here... I've hit 930kb so far.

And I abandoned Rogers' laggy DNS servers quite a while ago.
