They made a good move voting against this deal

Wilkes-Barre made the right decision because the chance of default is high and they very well might have been stuck with a $1.25 million bailout. Most of these city-wide WiFi deals can't get enough people to sign up to cover the costs. At least this time they should be smart enough to read the contract before proceeding all the way to an approval vote.

If you are interested in bidding, you have 2 days left.
The request for proposals can be found at »www.wirefreewb.com
Wilkes-Barre really does not have its act together. They announced the new RFP process on April 20( »www.wirefreewb.com/wfwb_pr.pdf ) and want bids by April 30. Doesn't leave much time for any interested bidders to put together a decent proposal.
