| The service sucks
The service sucks in grand ledge, I know I live there,...while having that extra upload is good it kills any radio between the AM and shortwave bands up into the 30-70mhz range except for a few stations which were notched out (not HAMS for sure). Also what the service really is despite what the name implies is wireless broadband with the connection coming into your home via a power line either attached to your pole or attached to your house. The interference is awful and even bleeds into lower FM on certain days. I hope they shut this POS down soon. They tried this with lighthouse broadband and no one wanted it. People are happy with comcast (and would like DSL if verizon would fix the damn digital switch). But also our cable network is setup correctly and evenly distributed among nodes so we don't have any overloaded nodes, which is due to the franchise agreement saying that they must be evenly distributed. |
