Comcast would never admit to it I'm sure, so We'll never know but it would be so easy to do it's ridiculous. I used to joke about doing this very thing with other techs, it doesn't even have to be someone in the head end, it could be done anywhere on the line after the node and would affect whats downstream. EASY as cake to do take 2 minutes to set up after having access to the line. (this is assuming analog, digital is another story and would be tougher, probably needing to be done in the headend, there it would be simple though, basically as simple as changing a channel on tv, or you could do it with jumpers, etc, LOL I wish I still worked for comcast just so I could do a copycat of this) |
