Once I get my little wiring project done in my house, it will make it much easier to swith providers.

The main problem is that they can call me because I have a relationship with them and even if I were to cancel, they can still call for up to 18 months after.

"If you make a specific request to that company not to call you, however, then the company may not call you, even if you have an established business relationship with that company."

I've had to write a couple of letters (they seem to do the most good)...

You can opt out of their marketing calls. Each time they call tell them to put you on their do not call list. Then, on the third call after that file a complaint with the FTC/FCC site. That generally gets their attention.

The DNC law has a provision where you can ask a business that you have a relationship with to only call you for non marketing purposes. That is one thing I always specify when opening an account with any business.
