All the way out there in CA, and you broke. Honestly, I wish you'd had put up a good discussion cuase I'm interested in the USF fiasco.
But they win, you lose. Sucks for you. |

Re: ColorBASIC is Rude It's not an exaggeration that your example of the USF was flawed from the get go and that you got called out on it. |

Well, he is the capo di tutti capi when it comes to executive branch agencies like the USDA. And he has been in office long enough to be responsible. And WAY too often news discussion is derailed by dumbasses pushing their political nonsense.
I thought when Justin created the Red and Blue rooms it would contain this crap yet is still spills over EVERYWHERE. It seems that not a single day goes by without some news item turning into another political F-fest.
I expect this crap from the sandbox at /. but not here and it's getting to be way too common.
Those wanting to vomit their political agenda should do it in the Red and Blue rooms instead of making these entirely lame leaps in blaming Bush for EVERYTHING wrong in the world...especially the USF which has been F-ed up since Christ was a corporal.
With talk shows on TV, talk radio, newspapers and everything else it would be nice to read some nerd stuff without having to wade though the same political rhetoric that dominates media. |

Re: I Can't Believe It said by FiL:lol. I get it. I think TCH has got it to. Sort of like a redial button;) Well, apparently logic isn't going to work, nor is 5th grade civics. I guess that pointing out the structure of the government makes the gentleman break out in hives.
Sheesh. It takes all kinds, huh?
It is at times like this that I am thankful I am too old and way too cynical to blindly and unquestioningly believe in anything at all. |

 | reply to ColorBASIC I see. So I take it that pointing out the flaws in your rant, blaming congress for this particular situation, when as point of fact, it was administered by the USDA, a USDA that has, for the last 6 years been under control of one administration, and administration that has close ties in politics and personel to Texas in general and the greater Houston area in particular, gets your dainty nether garments in a bunch? Not to mention the little fact that up until approx. Jan 19th of this year, any congressional oversight of this agency was under the control of a far different political party?
You mean we can't point out the glaringly apparent causative factors in this situation?
I have a better deal: Let's split the difference and blame this on last year's Pop Warner football team from Slippery Rock PA. They were in existence, just like congress, when this went down, too. I think that this compromise tracks with your logic rather well, and won't offend your sensibilities.
Better yet. let's blame this on Clinton's Penis and call it a wash. |
