I Can't Believe It

What? The executive branch funneling money away from people who need it, into the coffers of the wealthy? Unthinkable!

Nah, the only broadband he likely knows about is something like the The Lennon Sisters. On the other hand, some of his political appointees should be fair game in this.

How do you come up with blaming Congress in this, when the program is administered by the USDA, an executive branch agency?

This ought to be good...

Because it's always Congressional dogooders who come up with programs like the USF which are always an utter failure.

And now you know how good programs like that become failures.

If the executive branch under Bush was as efficient in executing Congress' programs as Bush was at executing people in Texas, we wouldn't be reading this story.

Oh brother, that's rich. The USF was awesome and had no faults before January 2001 I guess.

There are some DSLR lamers who never fail to turn every G-D thread into a Bush bashing circle jerk.

You MoveOn.org dorks need to get a life.

The Federal Gov't is completely inept no matter who is at the helm.

I'm not going to address your gross oversimplification of government or wild assumptions until you learn to be civil.

Wake up and smell the toast, my idealogical friend. The USDA is an executive branch agency. They are in charge of administrating the program. Full stop.

Don't let your quasi-religious beliefs blind you to the realities. Realities such as the fact that rich areas of the greater Houston area are benefitting from USF expenditures, to the detriment of more deserving rural areas that are not, to put it civilly, as politically connected?

Or will you be making so bold as to suggest that such expenditures are simply coincidental? How about the administration is not responsible for their actions during its tenure? Is that what you suggest?

Well, he is the capo di tutti capi when it comes to executive branch agencies like the USDA. And he has been in office long enough to be responsible.

I suggest you're simply another partisan kook aimed at derailing yet another decent DSLR topic with your lame leftist "Bush sucks and it's cloudy 'cause Texas stole all the sunshine" bullcrap.

Give it a rest and save your tired nonsense black helicopter conspiracy theories for the Blue Room »/forum/blueroom

Good, then perhaps we can make it a day on the DSLR front page without trolling dopes turning every single news item into another anti-Bush rant.

stfu, troll. Hows that for rude? Life ain't all black and white.

And WTF? We, the posters for of this website, can't even criticize Bush the Failure at our leisure? I understand going overboard, but the man DID in fact reign over a state that executed 100's of people rather quickly. Hence the comparison to the quickness issue.

But when someone says I can't do this or that just because their "tired" of it? Is there a law for that?

That's being un-American, now isn't it.
