I already know the name of the tune & artist on the CD. I don't need a "service" finding it for me on the web.
You're right-- with the exception of SUPER (which I keep blocked also), any software that wants to 'phone home' on use experiences a short life on my machine.
I guess I was just a little disappointed because I was expecting to like the player quite well, and I didn't like it at all.
But as I said, that's just me, and I'm not trying to suggest anything, specifically, about the player.
I don't put it in the category of spyware or crapware (like I would some others), it just isn't for me, and isn't a player I'd personally recommend.
Others may think Gracenote provides a great service for them, however. |
