thanks to all. my son has returned home but still has to go back once each friday for chemo. the doctors said that the cancer has shrank somewhat and they are pleased so far. he doesnt eat much but he is starting to eat more as we go along. each day is a new gift. hopefully we get through this ok. sorry to have waited so long since last post but life has been hectic lately. will post a more thorough explanation of things in the coming days. when you get the chance send some emails to my box and i will print them out. just a short note saying something like glad to hear you are back home and hope you are feeling much better or the like. again thank you all who read and posted and sent email. have a great one. oh yeah my email is kasparov@charter.net. and his name is michael.

thanks so much to you all. he got your email because the hospital saved it and gave it to him when he went back for his chemo. the emails from all over made him feel better too. he realized that there are a lot of other people that care about him too. there were even a few people that had cancer that sent some emails and they let him know that you can beat the evil monster. it just takes a lot of time and a whole lot of effort and prayer. your emails have also helped me and my wife. in the last 2 months our life and schedules have been turned upside down. neither one of us can sleep but we do the best we can. thinking of our son keeps us going though. hope you all have a super day. im going to play some gears of war and halo2 while my son sleeps. not to good at either but hey its fun none the less. a lot of times the people i play with are in their teens or twenties it seems like and im 37. theycall me geezer cause they say im old. but i just say tell them that they need someone with experience to help them along. gets them going every time. so if there is anybody here at bbr that has an xbox 360 and plays halo2, gears of war, dead or alive 4 and other games let me know and we can play some and my son is awesome at halo2. my gamer tag is silversurfer 747. later all

So how many emails have you received so far? Are you anywhere near the 100,000 mark yet? Let your son know he is in my thoughts. I went through my dad having lung cancer when I was a child (he was only 36). Hopefully your son will have a better outcome than my dad. Cancer is very painful physically and mentally (for both the family and the person with it). I really do hope your son soars above all of this and proves that we all can be stronger than a life threatening disease. Best wishes for you and your family! Your son will be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted on how he is doing!

we are back at the hospital for chemo and when my son returns home not only will i have him write a short note to you all but i will also take a picture of him and i together. he has no hair and neither do i. i shaved all mine off to let him know that i am with him always. being bald isnt as bad as i though though. its cooler with all the hot temperatures we have had and i also save 10dollars on a haircut. thanks again to you all and hope all of youo ahve a very nice day.

As one who went through multiple surgerys for non cancerous tumors-----no one but you and your son know how brave and tough he is. State of mind plays a big part in recovery and from the sound of things you both have the right one. Hope he has a fast recovery and remission.

Hope your sons recovery is speedy and all goes well. Hope to hear more good updates. As a partner to a cancer survivor I applaud you for shaving your head. Great way to show your support to him and having been bald myself I can relate to it being cooler.

That is one of the best things I have read on these forums...

Not necessary.

Anyways, big ups to what you have done for your son and may he recover as soon as possible.

back again at the hospital. my son has started to vomit a lot again and also caught an infection. doctors said we should be here all week. i hope he feels better soon. its really a drag to see him cry because he cant get up in time to get to the bathroom and has accidents. i tell him not to worry but he still feels bad because of it. but no matter how many time i have to get up in the middle of the night to help him i wont stop. ever. yes its a task to get no sleep and still be civil but i always remember my son has it bad and the rest of us are lucky. and when all of this is over i can say that i did my part and i know that my son loves me and realizes that i care for him. i think the worst part is to not see my son being able to go outside and play with other kids or just have fun. but i tell him to keep up the fight and we will win and then he can play all he wants. anywho hope all of you have a great day. i will post more when i learn more. thanks.
