I guess you didn't see the news this past week about the twister that leveled a town in Kansas. The authorities' rescue management was severely hampered because all cell sites in the area had been destroyed, the state police's own communications system was disabled in that area. So don't say if there is a power outage not to worry if you have a cell. You might also remember on 11Sep01 that not only did the Internet go down but almost every cell and other communication system in North America became overloaded. Hey, and we HAD power.
OK, so now I get to stand on my little soapbox - HURRAY FOR HAM RADIO OPS (like me)
