re: netscape/aol

I started using firefox a couple years back and it has drastically reduced the amount of crapware that i have to deal with. Netscape used to be my browser, but being butt-buddies with AOL scared me off since AOL is evil... insinuates itself into EVERYTHING (kinda like microsoft or symantec, but sleazier) I've been trying for years to clean things up so my computer does what I want, when I want, no more no less. The only drawback I found to firefox was that I did have to download a couple of dll's separately in order to view certain windows based media on some pages, and a couple of yahoo sites and so forth that used java went a trifle squirrelly on me. BUT, I found a plug-in that actually lets me right click on any page and use IE to render it within a firefox tab should I choose to do so. Thus my computer is still less exposed, and I can still see what I want when I want. Firefox and kaspersky have fixed everything I want fixed, and no more netscape/aol/crapware ugliness. YAY
