I looked at the past games, and rarely was any specific voter number a mafia member, if anything it was usually the last people to vote that were mafia. But for the most part, usually random. Bullocks because it would target you, hm?
I'm just saying, as long as you're picking someone by following a statistical anomaly, you might as well actually follow it. It's better than a completely random pick. |

 | The 3rd or 4th from the link assumes a 12 person game with 7 needed for a lynch. Using the same principle with 20 players gives you the 4th-8th votes being suspect. I arbitrarily decided before voting commenced to pick the 6th voter as it was right smack in the middle. I have no reason to think antares008 is mafia any more than the few people who jumped on the bandwagon on either side of him.
Day one we could no assume we will be getting a mafia member anyway, so it is more of a threat to the mafia at large that we will not be ignoring the go-alongs.
This is more of a statement of resolve than an accusation against Antares008. He was picked deliberately by when he placed his vote. I have nothing against him, and will not continue to hound him (unless he acts suspicious tomorrow and the next day...) -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist. |

He asked for clarification on the roleblocker/sibling roles. He thought they were separate roles not add ons. This tells that he is probably not one of those roles (or disguising it very cleverly) and furthermore I don't think he is mafia, because he would have checked with his mafia buddies for the answer not the general town. So consequently I have him tentatively moved off my mafia suspect list. -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist. |

Having been recently mostly dead (not all dead - that would be bad), she has been unable to get into the Cafe to clean it up and start the day. After seeing Miracle Max for his miracle pill, she feels refreshed and ready to go (especially after regaining her strength back).
I am going to play this one a little more cautiously. I am not hopping on any bandwagon just because... I have read what has transpired overnight and this morning. I am going to re-read it before making any votes. The Town needs a win this round, and I am not going to start pointing fingers just because someone told me to, or to just keep the game moving. | reply to yock I think Dez's strategy is a better one to start us off with. However, everyone has jumped on marijuana. Anybody else want to go with this strategy or should the first lynching vote just be random? Frankly, all that there is on marijuana is that he said "I am townie.".
Anybody else think we should go with Dez instead of random vote on marijuana? This game has to have a good opening move for the town like in chess. You can't just do a random move without any plans for it later. By doing this, we are essentially doing a new strategy and seeing if it is better than a totally random kill at the start. -- "The constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper."-George W. It's quite an obvious way to make people think you're not a certain character. Saying "hey, do we have a cop this time around?" may make everyone think you are an idiot, but no one would suspect you of being the cop. |

 | reply to Sarah I don't think so, but I may be wrong. The hey is there a cop this time is just not paying attention. These are not only new roles but secondary roles (which we have not played with). I think he was legitimately confused. Maybe not though, and I don't want to get into a defensive position about someone else like I was in a previous game with ameritectech. That got me killed, but I thought I would share my opinion in case it is helpful to someone else. your observation is definitely a possibility as well. -- If it is not recorded, it simply does not exist. |

On strategy;
What I noticed is that very few people ever voted in the last games outside the "bandwagon vote". I don't know what marijuana is but he has not been active enough to seem guilty or not. I think that is the reason the town lost last time, is because we became trusting of people who are good player and they turned out to be mafia. I am guilty of this myself, because I was busy and did not have the time to read through all the pages last week. I consider that a mistake because all my votes and thought were counterproductive.
Also we should not be scared to try to lynch 2 people and have close to a tie. That way when it comes down to the wire the people up for lynching can state their case. What we have now, or have had in the past is one person with a few votes shy of a lynch and some one else with 1. It puts that person at a disadvantage and also tells us nothing for the town to go on.

 SarahPremium,ExMod 2002-05 join:2001-01-09 Cambridge, MA kudos:5 | I think especially in the first day it is important to throw votes and accusations around. You see who overreacts, who underreacts, who ignores it, who counter-votes, and who tries to redirect your attention elsewhere. Useful information.
So far I've mentioned muszcman, lollercakes, teatherwind and jcallari by name. Teatherwind and jcallari ignored it; lollercakes defended himself and tried to redirect suspicion to Dezbend; muszcman got fairly aggressive and tried to cast counter-suspicion back at me. |

From my experience, the mafia have nether been to quiet or to vocal....especially on the first day. Look at the past 5 games. The mafia usually just chill and when someone accuses them, nothing. They just let it slide...in fact games 3 4 and 5 when I was mafia I did just that and it worked out very well....look how many times someone came to their own defense and we lynched them only to find out that they were indeed townies.
IF I was mafia, which I'm not, I would be laying low and not saying to much at the moment. I know how the mafia thinks....I have been them for games 3 4 and 5...... -- "It's better to be a pirate than to join the Navy." -Steve Jobs
