While not necessarily an "OMFG" improvement, in their defense, this is probably geared more for people that are doing picture uploads, not archive or media (CD rips) uploads. For example, I could upload fifty 100KB JPEGs before hitting that 5MB back-off. Most people aren't uploading that many pictures at once. And, even if they are, the files uploaded might be significantly smaller.

1Mbps is still > 384kbps... and without additional cost.. so why downplay the enhancement, even if it is only for the first 5MB? Perhaps you should call Comcast and ask to be excluded from deployment? |

Perhaps you should call Comcast and ask to be excluded from deployment? I have 6/384 service and I am getting 1.5 mbps upload speeds as well a downloads in the 20mbps speeds and greater. And if you aren't a big movie downloader or P2P user, these speeds are a nice bonus with no additional cost.
