Sante Fe: I've got your 6, at least as far as prayer is concerned. Man I'd love the see a remedy for Alzheimer's. I wonder if anyone might do a distributed project for it...
My brother's wife's dad was a Pulitzer prize winner and an absolutely brilliant man, and it was very painful to watch such a brilliant man fall in and out of his brilliance due to the disease. Sometimes he would say amazingly astute, wise, and brilliant things, and then almost instantly fall out of synch. He was interviewed during the onset of Alz's on a PBS show many years ago and it showed in the interview, very sad to have such an admired soul talk in-congruently.
I am confident a cure will be found one day. I worry about this thing affecting me, because I have a absolutely HORRIBLE memory and already have a hard time focusing at times, at only 48.
You have my heart and prayers for you and your dear mom and thank you for being our mod and working all that you have. Keep your shiny side up and the greasy side down, may the Heaven's bless you all there!
