Re: Loop length I agree. A lot of people I know can get the AT&T Elite package (which I think is limited to 6500' now) , but that's because AT&T has deployed tons of remote terminals servicing DSL. The one person I know that actually got 6mbps ADSL direct from the CO, *barely* qualified, and for good reason, it barely hung on with a 9db noise margin.
4,000 feet is a really short leash. Glad to hear they're giving it a go though. Competition is always a good thing.
