I agree. A lot of people I know can get the AT&T Elite package (which I think is limited to 6500' now) , but that's because AT&T has deployed tons of remote terminals servicing DSL. The one person I know that actually got 6mbps ADSL direct from the CO, *barely* qualified, and for good reason, it barely hung on with a 9db noise margin.

4,000 feet is a really short leash. Glad to hear they're giving it a go though. Competition is always a good thing.

I live less than 2 blocks from a VRAD and RT, however, my tract isn't fed off them, so I'm listed at 12,300 line feet.

1/2 mile from remote DSLAM yet they feed me off the CO, over 18,000 feet
