I grew up in Wilkes-Barre and the place is a stagnant wasteland. I seriously doubt this will improve anything. But kudos to them for trying.
Stagnant waste land, that's being way to nice. It's a open cesspool of low income people, elderly, moron cops, criminals who rule the streets and a very corrupt courthouse.

I live within the seven mile distance to pick up the WIFI signal but I am not interested.

Tom Greco is still dreaming about putting fiber optics in the old steam pipes that run underneath the streets of Wilkes Barre. What are they going to do next, give every drug dealer a laptop so they can buy and sell drugs on public square.
Hey, I take offense to that. I live in Wilkes-Barre and I'm not low income, elderly or a moron cop. How come I don't get a group to fit into?

=)

Your a exception to the rule I guess. I live in the Mayflower section, far away from the crime ridden streets of the down town area.

I moved into this area from Connecticut and went through a time warp of about ten to fifteen years.

I hate the CommonWealth of Pennsylvania and plan on moving out of this backwards state by the end of the year.
