Pretorious : I don't have an answer but I'd like to hear one as I've experienced the same problem for a very long time now and it's very distracting and disturbing. A few things that I've found that helped was having the diopter focused perfectly. But the thing that helped me most was adding an aftermarket eyecup. I actually have two, one shaped in a way to cover your whole eye and the other a little smaller but still blocks out most of the light.
I seems to me that light entering around the eye was causing most of my problems and adding the eyecup helped a great deal, but I still have a lot of trouble focusing after I'm finished looking through the viewfinder. My eyes have been really giving me fits for the past year now was why I never posted about this before.
