Re: I support Comcast.. I can't tell if he's kidding.
But I hope so.
Seriously, marketing has gotten outta hand. I don't NEED to see a movie. What is the point of contributing to that opening number (and someone's greed)? I can wait for the DVD(HD-DVD/BR) release at Walmart for $9 or Netflix for $1.50(based on return per rental rate subscr). Cheaper than the theater. I have a decent AV setup so that argument is moot. And if I dislike the movie I can sell it for 1/2 on eBay or return it to Netflix.
onDemand is the feature to take advantage of your impulsive weakness. |

| You can wait, but if it's a big movie your friends probably can't. The great part about Comcast's idea is that I can see it causing friends to have big parties/get togethers to watch movies without the hassle of crowded and overpriced theaters. While everyone's excited about it! $30-$40 to entertain a large group of people is worth it. -- Laser eye surgery rocks! I love frickin' laser beams. |

They said TV would kill movies, it didn't, they said the VCR would kill movies, they didn't either, and DVD's, same story. Besides, not all of us have the room to have such big affairs. |

I don't see what your issue is with this. it' snot like your going to get your choices taken away. |
