| Ohhh Fairpoint... Before the talk of all this Fairpoint crap got started, several years ago, I asked several Verizon guys here if FiOs was on the table for Maine. There answers were 3-5 years...and this was 2 years ago. Obviously this isnt the case anymore since the sale is imminent, but from what i understand, the copper lines in my area anyways, are aged quite a bit. Fiber would have been the answer, and there is a good chance Verizon could have made a turn around if they got off there asses and ran FiOS and there TV product. TW is mopping the floor with Verizon and there telephone service. I wonder if Fairpoint has seen the numbers of houses passed / houses served? |
