Thanks Hooper. They're currently looking into the issue.

I wish I could help you out here. I didn't get service installed till Monday. Does my comment that the HD looks only slighty better than Comcast matter?

in that case, TMC HD is rather grainy here.
Then you are seeing it as well. While yes, the other channels look "fine" - they are definitely down in quality from what they were before Sunday. Believe me, it may seem trivial, but this is a noticeable difference to those of us that watch HD alot.

But most of the other HD channels seem to be fine.

OKAY-
Just to clarify-

This thread is branching out from it's original purpose.

THERE IS NO MORE PIXELLATION - that was fixed overnight Sunday.

Please read the other thread regarding "HD Sharpness" for the other issue at hand.

Hopefully i'll find out today.

I'm seeing it - I have a confirmation from Middletown (go figure) - and from West Chester - so it's obviously not just my CO.

Check out The Movie Channel HD - tell me what you think.

HD quality looks fine in Middletown... might be a more localized issue.

Bravo has been pixelating for more than a week here in L.I. FSC did the standard dance of resetting STB's and nothing else. It's getting pretty annoying lately.

Re: Is it fixed?

I'll be honest, Matt, I'm not seeing any difference in the HD quality either. I live west of Philly. I have watched some stuff recorded in HD, and it looks just as good as it had in the past (star trek enterprise off hdnet). Granted the last sporting event I watched was part of the NASCAR race on Sunday - maybe if I put on a game I'll see the difference.

Spanky-
Right now, I only think it's affecting folks serviced out of Philly - which would be me in DE, PA folks, and south Jersey.

I'll hopefully find out more when my ticket is researched again.

If you're in North Jersey, i'm sure you're fine.

Well I hope that's the case. Another reason I'm switching is better clarity on the standard and HD channels. I wouldn't want my 1080p flat panel LCD to go to waste. I will meet you in the next thread, but if this is a real issue, is there any word of it getting fixed? Anybody in Northern NJ experiencing this?

Then it must be only affecting areas West of Philly, not North.

I'm in Pa and I had the pixellation problem last week also but I've checked my hd channels including the new ones and I don't see any difference in clarity. They look crystal clear to me.

Pixellation is fixed, but in order to fix it, they ruined the clarity of the HD channels (at least here in DE / PA). See my other thread....

Is this fixed? The reason I am switching to FiOS from Comcast Digital Cable is the severe tiling and pixelating issues. The televisions would pixelate so bad the screen would go blank. It almost made me downgrade to basic cable until FiOS came about. Please assure me this will not be the case come June 4th when they install everything.

H8-
That's a definite separate issue and not tied to our "Sunday" fun this past weekend.

For HD stutter - either reset the STB - OR - Go into the HD settings (Power Off, hit menu) - and simply toggle through all the resolution settings (1080, 720, 480) and go back to where you started from.

Almost 100% of the time it fixes it - seems to be a bug in the HD boxes.

Hello,

While there was some relief, not all is good. TNT HD NBA Basketball video was poor due to some stutter last night. It is still not fixed.
