Last night things seemed to get much better for a while. I forget what we were watching, but there were no interruptions at all for a good stretch. Then around 10:15 or so it started getting bad... really bad. To the point where my wife said "wow, that's annoying... let's just watch something recorded on the DVR."

I'm hoping that whatever the cause of this problem is that they take care of it for good. I've seen some pixellating happen occasionally during the weekends (generally on Sundays) but usually it's a minor annoyance that clears up pretty quickly. Last night was definitely not the case.

As to the credit, is it automatic, or do you need to call to get it? To answer the question of how the FSC could provide a credit when they've always said that they couldn't - I could see that. The CSRs at the FSC are probably not allowed to give credits in general. But in this one case, they were probably authorized to do it. But since it's not something that they do regularly, I wouldn't hold my breath assuming that they're going to do it right... or quickly.

JPL posted : You don't need me to tell you, but it was bad here too. This was the worst I've seen since signing up. I do think weekends (particularly sundays) tend to be the worst, although I've never experienced extended problems - until today. Generally I see some pixellating, for maybe 15 minutes, and then it clears up. Today was definitely different. Every channel was bad - some worse than others. I was watching the race on HD Net and it just kept cutting out. Even the music choice channels were having sound drop-outs for a while. I have one on now (it's been on for over an hour - it started out really bad - cutting out every couple seconds. Now it appears ok. Haven't heard a drop-out in at least 20 minutes.

All this being said, for Hooper's edification, I don't normally see it like this. I'll see intermitent problems occasionally on the weekends - stuff will pixellate, like I said, off and on for 15 minutes, and then everything will be fine. Others may report more extensive problems. Today was definitely exceptionally bad.
