It appears that the Pacific Northwest FIOS thread has been closed. Is there a replacement/continuation thread somewhere? | | degauss1

| reply to barryk Again, just to reassure... nobody's done anything "wrong"... we just need to stimulate the forum, and get some action on the granular, neighborhood level. As I've already stated, feel free to restart the threads, but let's try and drill 'em down --- start some threads for your state, county or city... cite the old threads, if necessary, but we won't be "formally" linking and archiving them, anymore. That's more appropriate to a blog, with limited resources... or a DSL forum, where us FIOS guys are infuriating the population by our prolific fiber postings... We have our own forum, I want to see us use it at full potential. -- Semper Eadem -- ... Can you add 2 new categories to the "posting a new message window " so the MIDWEST users have a southcentral and northcentral "area" to separate messages about regions better or as you said granular method making it easier to search about the latest going ons in our area? | | gwion wild colonial boy Premium,ExMod 2003-08 join:2000-12-28 Pittsburgh, PA
| reply to barryk Gotcha... I'm trying to find a better way of doing this, as we speak. I hear you. To elaborate what I mentioned in that exchange, I had hoped for a more drilled-down neighborhood approach. I'm still hoping for that, but there might be a need for a little hosted guidance. How we'll do it is still a work in progress, but it's on the way. Meanwhile, again, as I stated, there's no prohibition (in this particular case) on restarting threads... the only caveat, as I had already laid out, is that the threads won't be allowed to grow to epic novel sizes, as was previously the practice, nor will they be cross linked and re-crosslinked to make them even less readable because of sheer size... hopefully, we'll have a guideline posted for neighborhood threads within the next few days. Thanks, again, for the input. -- Semper Eadem -- ... For Fergus rules the brazen cars, And rules the shadows of the wood, And the white breast of the dim sea And all dishevelled wandering stars. | |
