Re: usr8200 and openrg

I wish I did have an update.. I'm not a linux guy so can't really do much with it.

I was wondering if anyone had any updates on this. I could really use the extra features in the openrg version. I will e-mail them too but would like to know where others have gotten.

IF you haven't had a chance to look at OpenRG you should. I have sent them an email trying to find more info about the posibility of using it on the 8200. Why USR has stopped with this I have no clue. OpenRG supports:

* IP-BPX
* Bluetooth
* Webserver
* Email Filtering
* Raid support for USB hard drives
* Some really nice information on bandwidth usage from your network. (great for monitoring if a computer has a virus)

There is so much USR could do with the 8200 its sad they have stopped.

Since the gui for the usr8200 is really a ported OpenRG. has anyone tried to install the OpenRG version to the 8200?

Might be a way to update a forgoten child by URS.
