How people can continue to compare POTS and cable voip costs to what they're paying for Internet voip like vonage or sr is beyond me. and to insist that users of cable voip are somehow suckers because they could be saving $15 by using vonage are being dishonest.
People DO consciously pay more for a service that they perceive is more reliable and better quality. A service that works when the power's off and that will dispatch a technician when there's a problem.
before i'm pegged as some sort of telco/catv apologist, let it be known that i've been a sunrocket voip user for the last couple years. sure, i definitely save money, but i also get what i pay for (lack of reliability, quality, etc). |
