Re: [TWC] NYC Slow Speeds

Here in Bayside, NY I've also been getting widely variable results depending on time of day. Used to average about 8500 down and 480 up. Past few weeks been getting more like 6000 down, but sometimes as low as 2 or 3000 down. I thought it was local, but a "next day" test can often return a result as high as the low 9000 's down.

Latency (using Speedtest.net) also varies from as low as about 14ms to highs around 75ms. (same site) .

PS: Even though I have set my time zone on that site, it persists in showing GMT times.

Here is a link to an earlier thread on the problematic speeds in my area:

You're right about the time zone thing. I just posted a result in dev/null and when I refreshed, it was back to GMT.

I know I'm not in the same area as you guys, but I should be home most of today and I'll try to run tests every few hours to see if it fluctuates.
