Cookies?
Yeah I know, Dave. You don't mind them. I don't either, in the sense that I consider them 'evil'-- they're just something else I see no need to allow sites to put on my machine, generally speaking. Strictly personal preference.

BTW-- how many of those babies are 'malware cookies', just hanging around waiting to determine how often you delete them before signalling the malware itself to execute?

I use firefox, am behind a router and don't browse "Iffy" websites.

Anything would be resource wasting paranoia.

Machine 1:

NOD32
SpywareBlaster
McAfee SiteAdvisor
ZoneAlarm free
regular image backups

Machine 2:

Norton 360

Machine 3:

Norton 360

All machines are behind a wired router. I don't have much faith in my common sense, so my internet life is not very experimental. It all seems to work out.

Comodo Firewall
Avast
BoClean
Ad Muncher
WinPatrol Plus
LinkScanner Pro

I don't use a router (connect with a USB modem). I choose which cookies get to stay. I use Firefox and IE7 . I admit to being a computer dunce

Real time protection.

NAT router
Comodo firewall
Avast! home anti-virus
A-squared anti-malware
Winpatrol free
MVPS hosts file
SpywareBlaster
Sandboxie and or PowerShadow(When surfing could be a bit dangerous)
I also use Firefox with NoScript and Adblock and plenty of on-demand scanners.

*** Here is some good advice. Always scan everything you download from the internet. I usually scan with at least 3 scanners that I have in my context menu (and sometimes more). If the file is questionable, you can always upload the file and have it checked at Jotti or VirusTotal.

DeepFreeze is a terrific piece of software! I've been trying it out on some systems and it's amazing.
I've been using Deep Freeze for about a month, I really like this program.
Faronics has another program out, Anti Executable, have you tried that one?
I've read alot of good things about AE, I plan on trying that one next.

How do you know you aren't infected? I bet you are chock full of adware at the very least....

I use nothing but a good hardware firewall/switch and common sense.
I don't understand how in this day and age people are actually getting infected with spyware and viruses still. Even someone with basic computer knowledge should know.
