I used Windows Update Custom. as opposed to auto-updates.

I read the description, it sounded reasonable, I clicked install.

Just installed the critical update mentioned in the title. It required a reboot and when I rebooted, my boot drive had changed in BIOS to a drive that's not bootable.

I have a hardware (motherboard) SATA RAID-1 array as my bootable c:\ drive. I also have a 3rd SATA drive installed as d:\ which I use to backup data nightly/weekly/monthly. Apparently that MS update changed the boot sequence, making the backup drive first, and it doesn't have the o/s installed on it.

Scared crap out of me. Just passing this along in case it will help anyone else from having heart palpitations.
