Anon | Is this the DSL ISP I want? Will Fastnet work well with my distance? I just found out about DSL a few days ago and so far it seems too good to be true. As I've researched a liitle bit and found out that I'm approximatly 7000+ feet away from my CO, and I know that that the distance might lower my DSL speed(IF I GET IT), I wanted to know by how much? Could anyone give me a good guess? Thanks. |

Anon | Have had DSL service through Covad/Mindspring for two weeks now. DSL Reports' distance calculator places our Covad service distance at 7,000+. With minor tweaking (truly one script file used for both our W98 and W95 PCs connected to the DSL service), we get 1.2 down and 310+ uploads. I am a VERY satisfied customer. Hope this is helpful. |

7000 is great...as long as you are not more than 18,000 ft from the CO you are golden |
