| IPKall blocking calls from SunRocket?
IPKall appears to be blocking calls from SunRocket. As of yesterday, I can get through from any other provider and cell but I'm blocked from SunRocket. After reading the following post last week, a test call from my SunRocket line went through but my CID displayed 703-999-9999. This is SunRockets area code and false number.
"IPKall announced that they will block any incoming call that does not have a valid ANI/CallerID. This is a new policy. They say they are doing this because they receive no money for this type of call in the settlement."

Potomac, MD | When I call IPKall from Sunrocket I hear sorry, followed by silence, then a fast busy. Calls from Verizon and cell work. Should we call Sunrocket and press them to fix this? |

| I've done some testing, dialing into IpKall numbers from various setups.
Only calls to AreaCode 360 IpKall numbers from Sunocket numbers receive the message: "I'm sorry..." followed by silence.
All calls to AreaCode 360 IpKall numbers from PSTN, Cellular, and other VOIP providers (whether or not outgoing CallerID is blocked) go through correctly.
All calls to AreaCode 425 & 253 & 206 IpKall numbers from PSTN, Cellular, SunRocket, and other VOIP providers (whether or not outgoing CallerID is blocked) go through correctly. |

It appears SunRocket saves money by this manipulation. Short term it hurts both IPKall and SunRocket users, although most probably won't realize it. Long term it will hurt SunRocket. I noticed SunRocket often had problems completing dialed toll free numbers. I saw several comments on BBR. I stopped using SR for these calls and don't include SR in my Asterisk outbound toll free routing. This is just another small issue with SunRocket I don't have with competitive providers. |

I've experimented with the various IpKall Area Code numbers directed to a single FWD SIP-URI ##### @ fwd.pulver.com --- first picking up incoming calls on my ExpressTalk LapTop SoftPhone --- and then directing the same incoming numbers to my PAP2T-NA. The same CID result occurs whether calls are received on SoftPhone or on PAP2.
• All calls to IpKall Area Codes 425 & 253 & 206 from PSTN, Cellular, SunRocket and ViaTalk show the CID as the caller's phone number without any name.
• Calls to IpKall Area Codes 360 from any souce except SunRocket give the same result.
• Calls to IpKall Area Code 360 from SunRocket are blocked. |
