Google lacking in the UI dept

I find google lacking terribly in the UI department. All of their apps are either too complicated or too spartan. Microsoft has a leg up on them in this area.

too complicated? such as.............??? I can't think of one which would fall into that category, but then again I don't know that I've tried every single thing they've done...
I thought Google Earth was one of the easiest and greatest applications to come along in some time...

I like "spartan" apps. which do what they should.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes of this. Sounds like a good idea though. ..As long as these apps. aren't sending every little detail home about me (solely for the purpose of targeted advertising of course ), I think they might actually be worthwhile to check out.

Re: Google lacking in the UI dept

To me sketchup is ok but nothing like 3D Studio MAX. People can learn Sketchup much faster then any other 3D Program out there.

Remember sketchup wasn't created by Google it was bought by Google after version 5 I believe.

Re: Google lacking in the UI dept

and that's the problem....Google has bought most of the products in its "suite" whereas microsoft for the most part has built them from the ground up or done an excellent integration job (Visio). This is why Google's offering appears glommed together....because it is.

sketchup , earth , youtube , blogger all buy outs from google's adsense money now

this is the time that microsoft has to make adcenter free for 2 years ,,, google is trying to make free charges for its web-based softwares ..

so microsoft has to make adcenter free then adsense will die eventually .. microsoft wins ..

microsoft dont need adcenter's money , so let it be free for 2 years or 5 years .. MS must play the google way ..

do this and MS wins ...

without adsense or adwords .. will they be able to buy other people's inventions ? take care of search google or else you wont exists anymore

Don't forget that Google Earth was a rebadged version of "Keyhole".

Have you ever used a google app??!!??

They are some of the most User friendly available!
I run an IT department, and can teach ANY user how to use a google app in all of 3 minutes.
