First off, those who compares things with the practice in the US may NOT be applied to the indian affairs in Canada as some have already mentioned... So do not put up mandates of FCC, Department of Interior. It has nothing to do with the things north of border. If anything has to do with the US, it is the culture inherited from the business champion in the free world! They simply learn how to make money out of the thin air literally like some dysfunctional start-ups abuse the patent laws to collect royalties from the industrial household names.
Then the race card. Sure, it has the race element but do not blow it out of proportion. We can ALL be racists - be it First Nations, Canadian, Christians, Martian, Klingon, etc. If you call this claim as to protect the rights of the First Nations people, so be it. If you call this claim is going too far as "bull shit" or nonsense, so be it.
What if God says, "Oh, you people on Earth should start pay tax to me for anything! And, big fines for messing the environment I have created!"?
