Re: Robert Soloway arrested, Spam continues to flood inboxs

That is the meat of it isn't it?

In all the news over this I do not see where they claim to have successfully dismanteled his net. Can they even be sure they have it all?
He could give up half his net and still have thousands of Bots still working every day makeing him money. After all a bot-net is automated. He could be tried, convicted and serve his time and still get out even richer than he was when he wennt in.
I mean he is shure to have back up servers and they have back ups as well.
In reality he could drop dead and his net could continue on in perpetuity.
His arrest is a good thing, but unless they can get all of his net,,,, did they really acomplish anything??????

Sucks dont it. All true to. Running for ever i kind of dout something will happen to each installed bot or infected host. Lets not forget its not like this guy is supper hacker folks he infected people by means of stupidity (of the host computers owner). He tricked them in to installign the bot that does the spamming. Now these end users will infect them selves with every thing under the sun in short order. With out this guy around to reinfect the reformated computers the net will collapse at a increaseing rate. Im sure each bot is set to send out new infected emails. But as each host falls to reformat or cleaning the number of new infections from each bot will slowly go down till none remain.

But any how yeh we will see his spam online for antoher year maybe only 6 to 9 months. Unless they can take out the top 5 or 10 spammer we will not see any real drop. People like linklogger will be able to show us the numbers and how the over all amount may or may not go down from one spammer take down.

Evil does exist and it has a face to often that face is one that should look on their child with love in their eyes.

Instead only hate exists in those eyes.
