I've got a few years old Linksys BEFSX41 and a WRT54GS V4 I've been using for a few years just south of you in San Diego. I don't notice much difference between the two and no performance issues with either on RR at 5/368.

I think the WRT is faster for bittorrent, but haven't ever really confirmed it.

Well I am just asking cuz back when I was on Comcast I remember they had issues with some of the D-link routers and all. Now since I am buying a router for a friend of mine and I am not on RR and I live on the other coast I figured I would ask first. Thanks for your reply.
