2 edits | Once spread widely enough, the better botnets don't need their owners anymore. They have AI in the form of neural networks using IRC/Usenet as their links. Don't take much ASM to make an "intelligent" bot capable of simple logic.
Hell, ya can buy whole botnets on IRC...it's the 'new' pharming..WoW/EverCrack accounts are old news.

Me, I block spam at the server..if that don't work, I'll send 'em a Gigabit Hello message from a country they can't pronounce.
Works pretty well so far.
