I am not going to register for the LA time article. Still this is a big problem. I see the problem mostly on fly by night third party lyric and music sites. Usually I get annoying popup wanting me to download from smiley central. I keep I.E. security high and often these sites will have a bar or a window requesting to download and active x control to “enhance the site experience” and instruction how to bypass Internet Explorer’s security settings. My SOP is to search on Google, copy site URL to I.E restricted site list, and then visit site. |
