Where is the complaint?

Maybe I am just missing something....but most cell providers charge more for data than for call time, so why would they have a problem with people making skype (data) calls rather than direct?

Are there unlimited data plans, or just plans ADVERTISED as unlimited?

If you are paying a cellular carrier for a data plan to use skype, why would the phone need to be un-locked ? There must be another issue in here somewhere.

No to ESPN

I think Verizon's unlimited data plan is limited to 5GB a month or something like that. This is printed in a small font in a color that is hard to read against the white background in their literature. The logic is that this is a lot of data and if you are pushing more than most likely you are downloading videos or music illegally. This could be an issue is you are using your cell phone or PDA/BlackBerry as a modem to your laptop.

Also a comment to an earlier statement that the FCC requires that phones be unlocked. This is be useful for GSM phones but I wonder what, if any, good it would do for a CDMA phone.

companyplan

I have an unlimited data plan - 35$/mo. Still less then my $300/mo cell phone bill.. for our company minutes..
