 | Wireless Radio Tower ISP Ok i have been looking and looking around for this information. I like to play online games like EQ, WOW and Vanguard. With EQ i have multiple accounts and was wondering if i would be able to play 2 accounts during raids, and 4 accounts at a time when just grouping. I have had sattelite internet and during non raid times 2 accounts could be played but in older zones and at 1100ms of lag.
So if anyone uses this kind of internet and can tell me if i would be able to play my games on it i would really appreciate it.
Would mostly like to hear from people with first hand experiences doing this. Also would like to know the lag on your EQ meter and how many accounts you play at a time. If the lag dosent get above 750 i can deal with that because i got used to playing at 1k and over. |

 | No one on the wireless forums knows anything about this or about the technology the company uses? |

 | reply to gamer411 Must not be any gamers reading the forum this week. |
|
 | reply to gamer411 You would need to ask the wisp what they are using, and post here with the info.

Using the same connection, my son and I can play COD2 at the same time, in the same server with over 30 players and never experience lag. Pings remain in the 40ms range.
My connection is 768 down and 128 up.
That's the best personal experience I can offer that might compare. |

 | Our wireless product uses state of the art technology to provide high-speed access to your business or residence using the unlicensed ISM spectrum. We can bring speeds of up to 100 Mbps to your home or office using wireless technologies.
We also have the ability to utilize licensed spectrum in the 38 GHz range to achieve carrier class data rates on the order of 622 Mbps depending on your needs. Our relationship with a regional tower engineering company enables us to engineer a complete solution for your wireless WAN needs.
that is the technology the company uses.
I'm starting to beleive that it will be good enough but i want someone to kind of convince me that it is good enough. I got burned like a lot of other ppl with Satellite and it has really shaken my trust in anything non wired so to speak. |

twizlarI dont think so.Premium join:2003-12-24 Brantford, ON kudos:3 | reply to gamer411 I'm an avid gamer, everything from BF2, css, cod2, wc3 etc. Running on 10mbit/2mbitish wireless with zero problems. I ping 20ms to chicago, 25 to NYC, 45 to dallas, 30 to virginia, 70 to Seattle, 90 to LA. It all depends on your isp, mine is great in every aspect and has a much better ping than most cable/adsl. -- AMD Athlon64 4000+ @ 2723mhz - mountaincable.net wireless Intarweb |Ipods SUCK |
