Average citizen...

... will be just making "friends" in that time.

I often think that US justice system is a joke, and yet we wonder why other countries don't want to follow US example.

Well Paris Hilton could have killed many people for what she did. She got 3 days in a cell and a month of house arrest.

This person on an insecure government computer showed tittes to tots. They were being executed at dawn.

Our legal system blows hard.

Yeah I think I gave a donation to a Marine last Xmas for that worthy charity.

Actually in these days of budget cutbacks for schools, I'm surprised they didn't try to pass it off as their Sex Ed. for the semester.

That pretty much sums it up for me.

They saw a little bit of porn - most likely unintentionally. Get over it.

And they're seventh graders. It's nothing they won't be downloading themselves within a year.

I think she has a very good chance, seeing as how I'd bet at least some of the jury members have had this same problem.

actually the US justice system is one of the harshest systems among other developed economies. It's true that celeberties do get a break here, but in Europe they might not have been penalized at all (because of their status). Other than that - we have a very "punishing" system. In Europe, convicts get lesser penalties.

so what does that do to them exactly? Make them hungry? I'm not sure showing breasts to someone who thinks of them as a food source is doing anything. If the kids had hit puberty that would be something else.

I do not know where you get that info, in europen some country when you are giving 30 years you will do 30 years no parole is not the same case in usa.

yes, but much fewer people will get 30 years - it's not like here - where we have these penalties left and right. Why do we have parole and other defense mechamisms - b/c we need them to mitigate the harshness of the results.

And Tikker_LoS, I am speaking the truth, since I am familiar with this area.
