gogeta6 join:2002-06-20 San Diego, CA 2 edits | hopefully this wont be so bad If they implement this unintelligently then I will be as pissed as all the doomsayers.
But hopefully this will be a good thing, though not sure if its necessary here in SD. Things never seem to slow down and I've been told by techs my nodes sees very heavy usage. Maybe this is just one way of dealing with having given people the 10/1 or whatever speeds they get in FIOS areas. I do worry that I am adversly affecting others so I leave heavy newsgroup dls for past midnight. If they know what is good for them they wont touch gaming, but I could care less if they throttle bit torrent or newsgroups during peak hours. That just seems to make sense if its heavily impacting everyone more less. Hopefully they can manage to do this pretty dynamically though, and not just say 4-10pm bt get 128kbps or something, that would be pretty weak. |

 | We will see I guess. AT&T is looking more and more attractive especially given the amount of money I am paying for both my Premium internet and cable TV especially if they are going to intentionally degrade the service. TWC should just sell the San Diego franchise if they have no desire to compete or be bleeding edge... |
