| My 1st outage (Raleigh NC) -this sux I've enjoyed 18 months without service interruption, so I'm not complaining. I actually expected VOIP issues from the start, but this is my 1st real issue.
Is this part of the Billing/Admin upgrades they are doing today? |

I've trouble shooted as much as I know how.
Through the InnoMedia I have dialtone; the Sunrocket Diagnostic utility shows all Green on Summary page. However I am unable to call anyone, and cannot even dial '00' to check voicemail. VIOP light on the Innomedia gizmo is orange, but I believe it has always been orange.
I unplugged the InnoMedia and re-installed the old AC-211 Gizmo. And was able to place 1 call. After that call it no longer will get a Voice light, even if I connect between the Gizmo WAN port and the Cable modem directly.
With the config: Modem - AC-211 WAN port AC-211 LAN port to Router WAN port I can get internet activity through the router, but still no Voice Light.
I assume the AC-211 no longer functions.
And, still the Innomedia connected to the Router LAN port, gets a dialtone and will dial but goes dead after one ring.
The SR on-line support has not responded after 2hrs, They must have other priorities.
I'm thinking that since I was able to make one clear call that I have 2 dead Gizmos; the AC-211 was supposed to be decomissioned (though I believe it has current credentials and used it on Mem.Day weekend at another location); InnoMedia just died.
Or, Is this a simple (temporary) service outage that I must just sit-out? |

2 edits | reply to CajunWon After several hard resets of the router/modem/Gizmo I have been able to use the AC-211 without issue for the last 5 hours. I have it behind the router as I am still unable to get it working in-front of the router (no big deal here).
This AC-211 is the Gizmo of which Sunrocket was very eager to replace some weeks ago.
It appears to me that the InnoMedia is no longer functioning and is the source of my VOIP service issues beginning this past Tuesday.
Thanks for the feedback on this issue.
Edit: Next day confirmation -the AC-211 works as usual, InnoMedia is dead. Just as well as I prefer the AC-211 features, hopefully I'll regain access to the config file before they change credentials again.
Still true, VOIP is not for the masses yet as one has to be willing to troubleshoot without vendor support. |
