Re: Switching from SBC/AT&T DSL

The process to switch using the Express ISP change is pretty easy. You want to be sure to place an order with us in our system. You can do so on our website at »www.dslextreme.com/dsl During the ordering process select that you want an to do an Express ISP change.

We will process your order and provide you with an activation date. Your service should be switched over on that activation date. Typically the process is seamless and customers experience very little to no downtime.

Once your activation date has past and your service is up and running give AT&T a call to terminate your account. That is a good safe measure to ensure they don't bill you moving forward.

Thanks

1) You cancel your account with SBC/ATT *ONLY AFTER* your DSLX service is up and running otherwise you'll have no Internet connection during the switch over.

2) See 1.

@sbcglobal.net

  Hello,

I've been reading this forum & your KB, however I'm not quite understanding this "Express ISP Change" & would like more info prior to signing up.

1) Do I cancel my account with SBC after signing up, or is everything handled in the switchover?

2) What actions will I need to take after signing up? (call SBC & notify of switching, etc) or is that explained while signing up?

Thank you & sorry if my questions aren't quite clear.
